Vando Batista is a Systems Engineer at C.E.S.A.R (www.cesar.org.br) and is working with Java ME, SE for Motorola projects (developer.motorola.com) a 4 years ago. He also worked by 2 years with Java EE developing a Geographic Information System at Instituto Atlântico (www.atlantico.com.br). He is MSc cadidate in Computer Science at Federal University of Pernambuco’s Informatics Center (CIn/UFPE) and nowadays is writing his master tesis about a middleware framework for mobile ad-hoc network, called Spontaneousware. The project development is being hosted at spontaneousware.dev.java.net and his research site is at www.cin.ufpe.br/~vfb. He is a Brazilian Computer Society (SBC)’s student delegate at CIn/UFPE and also maintains the Technology for Mobility blog at vandob.wordpress.com sharing knowledge about mobile distributed systems and mobile networks.
